Spatial Panner

The Spatial Panner is a mesh-based routing editor for surround and object-based panning architectures.

Build panning topologies on a snap-to-grid canvas.

In overview mode, every tracked channel appears as a strip with a miniature XY position map, giving you a snapshot of your entire spatial image. Tap any channel to inspect its position, mesh assignment, and patch cable connections.

Switch to edit mode and the canvas opens — a full square grid where you build panning topologies from four node types:

  • Output — a speaker destination.
  • Split — divides signal across multiple paths.
  • Mute — silences a routing path.
  • Sum — combines multiple inputs.

Draw triangle links between three nodes to define signal routing. Snap-to-grid keeps placement precise, and the grid density is adjustable. Each mesh is independent — run a separate topology for front-of-house and delay fills, or create complex spatial effects by linking channels through processing nodes.

Assign channels to meshes and patch cables to external effects. The spatial image updates live as you drag.
